HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH CROSSFIT?
In July of 2017, after learning about some health issues that had me on the verge of needing medication, I knew it was time I take action before it became too late. At age 37, I found myself at a 1:1 with Thomas and after the first class – I knew I’d found something special that could be the change I needed. Not only was this program and ideology special, but this place was special.
Why you love CrossFit or choose to CrossFit?
It’s really hard to put into words, however, if you’d like to get a cup of coffee, I could take a few hours and explain. 🙂 CrossFit challenges me everyday, helps me be accountable, provides me better focus, better energy, and allows me to live my life to the fullest. CrossFit makes me a better person. To see the accomplishments and improvements that I have been able to make gets me all fired up and proud of what I’m doing. The community and the culture are also super alluring. Finally, I love Nike Metcons.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PHYSICAL ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Honestly I’d say my biggest physical accomplishment lies simply in the fact that I actually do Crossfit today at 40 when I had never been athletic or played sports in my life. Now to be a CrossFit Level-1 Trainer and have the opportunity to coach and help others discover this program is an honor. It allows me to give back to the community that ultimately provided me so much. There was also that time I had been doing CrossFit for 3 months and came in 1st place in our In-House scaled competition, Deadman Wodding, what?!?!
